Studying the Hat
Green Room 42

Kaeli recently made her NYC debut singing in a concert at Green Room 42 called Studying the Hat: The Music and Lyrics of Stephen Sondheim. In celebration of Stephen Sondheim's 96th birthday, pianist and music scholar Nathan Loughstein hosted an afternoon all about Sondheim: how his songs and scores come together, and how they move and thrill us!

Kaeli had the honor to perform Getting Married today from Company. Check it out here!

A Bit About Kaeli!

Kaeli is a versatile singer, actor, songwriter, and lover of puns originally from Minnesota and based in Washington, DC. A self described “parrot,” Kaeli possesses a remarkable talent for mimicking accents, character voices, and singing styles, showcasing her vocal versatility. Her skill has proven invaluable in her professional work as an understudy and in the world of Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA).

When she's not immersed in the arts, you can find Kaeli exploring the hiking trails of DC or embarking on solo adventures (her most recent trip took her to Quebec, Canada!). She also has a soft spot for all things cozy, and can often be found delighting in the company of puppies at the nearest dog park.

Kaeli earned her BA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Communications from American University. She has performed with the Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian’s Discovery Theater, Monumental Theatre Company and more. Whether she’s participating in staged readings, new works, musicals, or plays, Kaeli brings a grounded honesty and commitment to every rehearsal process and performance. Being part of a collaborative ensemble is one of her favorite things in the world!
